If There’s Still Something That I Can Do…
Awww, my heart really goes out to Kakashi for this chapter. ((Although it usually does considering he’s my bias. ^^))
Ever since he’d gotten the Sharingan taken away by Madara, he’s basically lost that extra edge that allows him to battle on equal footing with everyone.
And though this sounds horrible to say for someone who’s been an integral part of the team since practically the beginning, it definitely makes him pale in comparison to his friend and students who now far outshine him.
But even in his brief moment of dejection, he still tries his best so as to give his team some sort of advantage in this important battle…even if it means acting as their shield and putting his life on the line.
Kakashi, you really are still great.
You Stay Here
I knew this was coming and yet it’s still very upsetting.
Well the ghost of Rin appearing before her boys made it worse, too.
To think Kakashi would have to relive seeing that horrible memory of one of his closest friend dying for his sake. God this’ll seriously screw with his head for a while that it’s not even funny.
But hopefully he won’t let this linger as it’s clear from Obito’s expression that this was something that had to happen. ((Especially given the fact that he really didn’t have much time to live.))
Just as he’d saved him in their first real mission together when they were kids, Obito truly believes in Kakashi’s strength and abilities to help others in the future. And he definitely wants him to continue to live on for him and Rin while they wait for him on the other side. Plus with this he’ll have at least done another good thing before going out with a bang again.
It’s just not the right time for his friend to leave everyone behind, but it’s definitely their time to part ways once more.
((…Ugh, I heard it. And it still hurts (˃̣̣̣̣̣̣ བ ˂̣̣̣̣̣̣)))
